Hey everyone!

My name is Katy P and I am one of your leaders for the trip in July. I'm #cough cough# years old and come from Holywood. I work as the Project Manager for a charity called Holywood Youth Trust and have been involved in youthwork for so many years that I remember playing a Sega Mega Drive on a 14" portable TV in youth group and thinking it was cool!

I love music, so I warn you now, be prepared for random outbursts of song. I also love suduko, Galaxy chocolate and my new niece, Grace.

I've been to South America twice before and have fallen in love with the place. The scenery is breathtaking, the people are welcoming and the Dulche De Leche is the best thing you will ever spread on a slice of toast. I can't wait to get back and get stuck in to working with the church.

Hasta Luego

Hey everyone

Hey guys,
It's nice to have a way to be in touch with you all. My name is Rebecca (Thompson) and I'm from Bangor, I'm 19 (and 3/4) and I am the worship and youth minister at Bangor Parish Church (which is the best job ever!) Prior to this job I spent a year in Coventry studying singing and theology at Nexus Christian Music College, and before that I went to Glenlola Collegiate School in Bangor (whoop whoop!) My favourite things to do are drink tea, go for walks along the beach, hang out with good friends or new friends, lead worship and make music. I am very excited about going to Argentina, especially getting to know all you guys and having the chance to bless the Church out there and be blessed and inspired by them! And also South America is the only continent I haven't been to!

Steven, did we meet at an event in September at Willowfield? Think it was on church leadership? I remember talking to someone at coffee who meets your description!!

Big love to you all,

Rebecca xx

Welcome team

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the SAMS Ireland / Down and Dromore team heading to La Caldera, Argentina in July 2008.

This blog will be the place for news and updates as we count down to July. It will also be the place to share our thoughts, diary entries, photos, videos, poems (perhaps not) and other interesting things you might dream up.

The first thing to do is make sure you are registered. Then we'd like you to post a few thoughts about yourself, your background, likes/dislikes etc. and why you are looking forward to being a part of this team.

Blessings,

Stephen
